Hail to the Queen of May! Oh, Lady fair
As spring's best month of gentle warmth and light
Immaculate, like rain-kissed earth; we bear
Lilies for your feet, and rose-crowns bright.
Queen of our hearts, we come to you and kneel
Under your watchful eyes; your mother's love
Envelopes us, as with a mother's zeal
Entire, you protect us from above,
Now helping your poor children as we pray--
Oh, intercede for us, Mother of Grace!
For us and for all sinful men, today,
Maria, our sad prayers with yours replace,
And your dear Son, who hears every request
You make for us, will grant them, Lady Blessed!
