Hatchick's Birthday!

Today is our youngest daughter, "Hatchick's" birthday! I can't believe she's 11 already--the time is flying by.

Hatchick is our family comedian; her sense of humor and quick wit delights us all. She's spunky, spirited, and smart--but she's also tender-hearted and quick to be sympathetic if someone's in need.

And she may have trouble making up her mind sometimes--but not when she really knows what she wants! Today, for instance, she knows that she can't wait for her chosen celebration to begin, and it involves a visit from this talented aunt and the cousins closest in age to her; the promised entertainment is decorating cupcakes to look like cute little pigs, an animal Hatchick has been fond of since she was quite small, and has collected in stuffed animal form for lots of years now.

We're all going to enjoy celebrating Hatchick's special day with her today--she's a terrific young lady, and we're proud that she's our girl!
