Mark Shea pulls a fun April Fool's Day joke--see here. And don't miss the "Jedi and Enjoying It" title at the top of his regular blog, which will probably disappear mysteriously over the weekend (but will aliens be involved??!!).
I fully expect that next year Mark will top his present prank by calling his blog "Reallio Trulio Catholic and Bitterly Clinging to It" in which he will announce that after careful study he has realized that the Real Catholic Church (tm) has its spiritual home not in Rome but in Kansas and consists of about 50 people who alone amongst the people of the earth have any shot whatsoever at actually getting to Heaven.
Alas, I have no clever April Fool's Day prank planned for this blog. Changing my title wouldn't be that big of a deal--And Sometimes Coffee? And Sometimes Fizzy Carbonated Beverages with Way Too Many Calories? etc. And my readers know me too well to fall for jokes involving the pursuit of ordination or, conversely, my decision that women darned well ought to be wearing veils, preferably expensive lace ones if they don't want the angels mocking them for picking affordable and practical head coverings.
